Cruelty Has a Human Heart - exhibition Hå gamle prestegard / Hands and Flags

Both floors at Nye løa, including new works in dialogue with texts and drawings from people living at Hå mottakcenter

The textile is contructed by different remains of old main sails; flags from all nations in Europe, Middle East, and parts of Africa prepared with black paint;beka thread and rope. Everything stitched by hand.

The 150 drawings where made in a two week workshop at Hå mottaksenter. Images from workshop here.

The drawings are installed in front of and behind the textile, attached to wires.
